A record crowd of more than 250 people attended the 36th Annual Carolina Brahman Breeders Association (CBBA) Brahman and F-1 sale held June 4, 2016 at the T. Ed Garrison Arena Cattle Complex in Clemson, South Carolina.

A solid offering of both registered Brahmans and F-1 cattle received lots of attention with many active bidders in-person and live on the internet through Cattle in Motion's website.

Congrats to Tiara Farms of North Carolina with the high selling lot which consisted of a heifer calf pair. Haltered heifers averaged $5,325, open heifers - $3,690, bred heifers -t $3,700, pairs - $4,325, and bulls - $3,866.

F-1 cattle prices dipped slightly due to the market correction. F-1 open females averaged at $1,630, bred heifers at $2,200, pairs averaged $1,900.

Sales Manager and Auctioneer, Philip Gilstrap, reported that the fun auction on Friday night had raised $2,700 for the good of the cause with one strawberry cake being syndicated and gathering up $700, then being eaten by the guest.

The CBBA thanks everyone for their support and looks forward to next year’s event!
