According to ABBA Recording Secretary Armelinda Ibarra, Medda has been instrumental in developing a fantastic bond between the ABBA and Thailand Brahman breeders. His devotion to the breed and confidence in the ABBA set the foundation for the recent revival of interest in American Brahman cattle in Thailand.<\/p>\n

Years ago, Medda lived in the United States and was not only a member of the ABBA, but also a prominent breeder and owner of Dream Ranch. Medda was present at numerous ABBA shows, events, and meetings. Dream Ranch even hosted shows and cattle clinics in conjunction with the ABBA membership.<\/p>\n

After he moved back to his home in Thailand, Medda\u2019s connection to the ABBA, rather than diminishing, flourished. He continued to bring many international guests from Southeast Asia and the surrounding regions to various ABBA functions, shows, farms, ranches, and especially to the International Show in Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn return, Medda has been the perfect host to members of ABBA when we visit brahman breeders in his corner of the world,\u201d Carolyn Falgout of K Bar Farms said. \u201cHaving been on many<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

different international trips to various countries and cultures, I cannot speak more highly of the hospitality shown to all international guests… Traveling to Thailand was once an impossibility to me. The distance, language barrier and cultural shock all seemed to be too much to bear, but Medda makes this experience enjoyable, entertaining and insatiable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Medda was a founder of the first ever Brahman-centered breeder organization in Thailand. Through his connections and contacts from this endeavor, he later founded the Thailand chapter of the American Brahman Breeders Association (TABBA). This organization, of which he is still a prominent member, is flourishing in its membership and has become an invaluable resource to the breeders here in the United States.<\/p>\n

The organization Medda helped to build is modeled after the ABBA, and during the organization\u2019s infancy, the ABBA worked with them to develop their association. The ABBA has had several delegations visit the country over the past decade, and in the last six months the ABBA has sent three judges \u2013 Rodney Finch, Alfredo Muskus and Kelvin Moreno – to shows there.<\/p>\n

\u201cMedda has been an extraordinary friend to the ABBA and its membership,\u201d Falgout said. \u201cHe puts his heart and soul into promoting the Brahman breed, the ABBA and its breeders and asks for nothing in return.
