\"\"To those who may not know me, I am a third generation native Arizonan, with family arriving in the Arizona territory in 1901. My family has a long history in farming and cattle ranching. My love of Brahmans began in 1974 when I purchased 24 bred heifers in Texas as well as a couple of bulls to enhance my FFA project at that time. Adding new genetics in 1982, from US Sugar Corporation really helped me to get established with the commercial cattle industry in the Southwest. I have served on the ABBA Board of Directors for over 25 years, primarily focusing on research and breed improvement. I have worked diligently on the board of directors serving in many capacities over the years and now I am honored to serve as your newly elected president.<\/p>\n

One of the most innovative programs ever to be released by the Association has been the highly acclaimed F1 female certification program. No doubt about it, this program has done more to help Brahman breeders to sell Brahman bulls and it has definitely brought the F1 brahman female the credit she deserves, but more importantly, it has brought the Brahman breed the national attention it deserves. ABBA has long been recognized as one of the few breed associations that caters to its commercial customers on the same basis as its registered members. I feel this program validates this statement. We are committed to our commercial customers as we know what benefits them, also benefits the Brahman association as a whole.<\/p>\n

The current officer team performed employee evaluations last week, and I am proud to say we have a very dedicated and loyal staff which works tirelessly helping members resolve issues. My hat is off to them. We will continue to support and encourage our staff and give them the tools they need to continue to be successful in their positions which enhances our membership purposes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I am energized to be your president because of our new registry system becoming more user friendly each and every day. The staff and the executive committee are constantly in communication on issues affecting the system and get them resolved as quickly as possible. It will only get better as time progresses and more and more members buy into online registrations. It is the most efficient manner to prevent errors and receive your certificates back in a timely fashion.<\/p>\n

I encourage all members who have online access to try out the system. We will continue to do manual registrations for those members who choose to perform paper transactions. Please be patient and courteous when calling the staff or any member of the executive committee with issues. As your president I am being informed daily with all problems or concerns from our EVP and Recording Secretary.<\/p>\n

I am looking forward to seeing you all at the All American in July or at our first BOD meeting at the Kick Off Classic in August, in Brenham, Texas.<\/p>\n

Para aquellos que no me conozcan, soy un arizonense nativo de tercera generacio\u0301n, con una familia que llego\u0301 al territorio de Arizona en 1901. Mi familia tiene una larga historia en la agricultura y ganaderi\u0301a. Mi amor por los Brahmans comenzo\u0301 en 1974 cuando compre\u0301 24 novillas criadas en Texas, asi\u0301 como un par de toros para mejorar mi proyecto FFA en ese momento. Agregando nuevas gene\u0301ticas en 1982, US Sugar Corporation realmente me ayudo\u0301 a establecerme con la industria de ganado comercial en el suroeste. He servido en la Junta de Directores de ABBA por ma\u0301s de 25 an\u0303os, enfoca\u0301ndome principalmente en la investigacio\u0301n y el mejoramiento de razas. A lo largo de los an\u0303os, he trabajado diligentemente en la junta directiva de muchas otras funciones y ahora me siento honrado de ser su nuevo presidente electo.<\/p>\n

Uno de los programas ma\u0301s innovadores que jama\u0301s haya lanzado la Asociacio\u0301n ha sido el aclamado programa de certificacio\u0301n femenina F-1. Sin lugar a dudas, este programa ha hecho ma\u0301s para ayudar a los criadores de Brahman a vender toros Brahman y definitivamente le ha dado a la hembra Brahman F-1 el cre\u0301dito que merece, pero lo ma\u0301s importante es que ha brindado a la raza Brahman la atencio\u0301n nacional que merece. ABBA ha sido reconocida durante mucho tiempo como una de las pocas asociaciones de razas que abastece a sus clientes comerciales sobre la misma base que sus miembros registrados. Siento que este programa valida esta afirmacio\u0301n. Estamos comprometidos con nuestros clientes comerciales, ya que sabemos lo que los beneficia, y tambie\u0301n beneficia a la asociacio\u0301n Brahman en general.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

El equipo actual de oficiales realizo\u0301 evaluaciones de empleados la semana pasada, y me enorgullece decir que tenemos un personal muy dedicado y leal que trabaja incansablemente para ayudar a los miembros a resolver problemas. Me quito el sombrero ante ellos. Continuaremos apoyando y alentando a nuestro personal, y les daremos las herramientas que necesitan para continuar teniendo e\u0301xito en sus posiciones, lo que mejora nuestros propo\u0301sitos hacia los miembros.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Estoy lleno de energi\u0301a para ser su presidente debido a que nuestro nuevo sistema de registro se vuelve ma\u0301s fa\u0301cil de usar cada di\u0301a. El personal y el comite\u0301 ejecutivo esta\u0301n constantemente en comunicacio\u0301n sobre los problemas que afectan al sistema y los resuelven lo ma\u0301s ra\u0301pido posible. Solo mejorara\u0301 a medida que avance el tiempo y ma\u0301s y ma\u0301s miembros compren en los registros en li\u0301nea. Es la manera ma\u0301s eficiente de evitar errores y recibir sus certificados de manera oportuna. Animo a todos los miembros que tienen acceso en li\u0301nea a probar el sistema. Continuaremos haciendo registros manuales para aquellos miembros que elijan realizar transacciones en papel. Tenga paciencia y cortesi\u0301a cuando llame al personal o a cualquier miembro del comite\u0301 ejecutivo si tiene problemas. Como su presidente, estoy siendo informado diariamente con todos los problemas o inquietudes de nuestros EVP y Secretaria de Registros.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
