The following are his comments to Raimundo and Regina during the presentation.

Hacienda La Esperanza is located on the southern coast of Guatemala and is dedicated to different agricultural activities and the raising of pure Gray and Red Brahman cattle, for which it has won countless awards in the major Central American shows. For more than 50 years, you can say with satisfaction, that your Brahman genetics have been exported and can be found from Mexico to Paraguay and Argentina.

Raimundo is of Mexican origin and graduated from the University of Texas A&M. In 1965 he married Regina Aguirre; Guatemalan and from a family with an agricultural and livestock background. In 1970, they began breeding a herd of purebred cattle with a group of heifers in La Esperanza. Among these heifers were bloodlines from ranches such as V8 and J.D. Hudgins of the United States.

From the beginning the couple set a goal to produce bulls that transmitted the production of the best carcass traits in the shortest possible time. They focused on performance genetic lines, as well as breeding a herd with all the excellent qualities of the Brahman breed. Among the outstanding bulls we can mention the RR Zagalo Balam 4851, RR Bronco Didor 3703, RR Guerrero Grande TE 4493; all which have been Central American champions. Among their most prominent and award-winning cows are RR Chavela Warrior 2986 and RR Princesita Zag TE 6237, both extraordinary females of the breed.

All this has been possible thanks to an excellent team that is supported and led by both Raimundo and Regina. Raimundo is dedicated to the thorough study of the different genetic lines, to the high quality control of the herd and also keeps up with the latest technology advancements of the industry.

He was founder of Asobrahman in Guatemala and director of it since the inception, as well as being a member and past director of the ABBA.

Doña Regina is consistent with her unconditional responsibility towards the families of La Esperanza workers, the environment and the surrounding community.

Together they have instilled noble values and the appreciation of the Brahman breed to their children and grandchildren. There is no doubt that they have set a precedent for excellence and we hope it will be a legacy that will last generation after generation.

During the 2019 ExpoLeche In Guatemala City, Guatemala, the president of AsoBrahman, Rodolfo Garcia Pacheco, presented the first ever Hall of Fame award…

[13,26,19

0":"post-12456","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-international-brahmans","8":"category-international-news","9":"category-brahman-news
["GET
