This year Pasquale Swaner, of Swaner Brahmans, has the honor of judging the 2020 International Brahman Show at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.<\/p>\n
Deeply rooted in Brahman history, Steven Swaner Jr., known as \u201cPasquale\u201d, has been part of the Brahman breed his entire life. Pasquale, the son of Steamer and the late Marsha Swaner, is a passionate Brahman breeder and has traveled the globe advocating for the American Brahman.<\/p>\n
As a family the Swaners are known for their Red Brahman herd of cattle and produced breed greats such as +SRS Red Stroke 522, SRS Mr. 581, +SRS Mr Captain Red Legs 834, +SRS Mr. Troubador 933 and +SRS Mr. Pasco 812. Bulls like SRS Mr. Remedy 573 and SRS Mr. Singin Red 483 have also heavily influenced the success of the American Red Brahman in Colombia.<\/p>\n
As a 3rd generation Brahman breeder, Swaner has been attending HLSR with his parents since he was six weeks old. He started his colligate experience at Sam Houston State University where he received his undergrad and master\u2019s degree in animal science.<\/p>\n
Swaner is a tenured professional in Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service and has dedicate his life to enhancing agriculture programs that benefit youth and top producers. Swaner remembers the first show he judged was a prospect show in Needville, Texas at the young age of 20. Since then, he has evaluated Brahman cattle at the highest of levels, notably the National Brahman Show in 2004 and 2011 and in Mexico, Thailand, Central and South America. He serves as a director of the American Brahman Breeders Association.<\/p>\n
Going into HLSR this year Swaner looks forward to being able to see all the hard work and dedication of the breeders.<\/p>\n

Swaner es un profesional en el Servicio de Extensio\u0301n Agrilife de Texas A&M y ha dedicado su vida a mejorar los programas agri\u0301colas que benefician a los jo\u0301venes y a los principales productores.
