The 2026 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo All Breeds Sales took place Wednesday, March 4, at the NRG Arena Sale Pavilion. More than 300 buyers, in attendance and via www.live-ag.com, registered to buy cattle. Forty-three bulls and 412 females from some of the industry\u2019s most renowned breeders were sold to 76 buyers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi and Texas. The sale grossed $2,854,750.<\/p>\n

Prior to the sale, a group of qualified cattlemen and industry professionals evaluated the bulls and females, with champions selected.<\/p>\n

The Overall High Grading and High Selling Bull was a Registered Polled Hereford consigned by B&C Cattle Co. of Miami, Texas. B&C End Zone 3532L sold for $20,000 to Jim Watts\u2019 Watts Ranch of Luling, Texas.<\/p>\n

The High Grading Brahman Bull was a consignment by Chris Cooley\u2019s Golden Meadows Ranch of Cotulla, Texas, while the high-selling Brahman bull was consigned by Sandglass Ranch of Hallettsville, Texas, bringing $8,500. The Overall Champion Pen of Females was consigned by H&M Cattle Company of Wharton, Texas.<\/p>\n

This pen of five Brahman x Polled Hereford F1 females with Angus-sired calves brought $7,750 per head and sold to Marty Broussard of Newbern, Alabama. Brahman and Brahman-influenced cattle were in high demand, especially females, due to their adaptability, longevity, increased performance and the number of other convenience traits the breed type offers.<\/p>\n

Doak Lambert of Decatur, Texas, was the auctioneer. The sale was managed by Infinity Cattle Services, owned by Chris Shivers of Houston, Texas. The following are the sale averages by breed category:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t
