2 Diamond P Cattle of Mathews, Alabama held their Third Annual Pursuit of Perfection Online Sale September 12-13 on BestCattleSales.com.
The sale was a great success, and in addition to selling some of the most elite genetics in the Brahman breed, the Pounds family raised $13,500 to replenish AJBA Scholarship funds!
Sale lot averages were as follows: 10 Haltered Heifers Averaged $4,450, 3 Exposed Heifers averaged $4,250, 3 Cows Averaged $6,000, 4 Flushes averaged $3,000 and one bull calf sold for $3,900.
The high-selling lot was a donor cow named Miss V8 21/7. The +JDH SIR AVERY MANSO 159/7 daughter sold for $9,700.
Thanks to the generosity of donors and great buyer participation, 16 semen sale lots generated $13,500 for American Junior Brahman Association scholarship funds.
“Matthew came to me with a vision of an online semen auction to raise money for the AJBA in 2019, and I thought it was a great idea,” explained Victoria Lambert, owner of The Brahman Journal and the Best Cattle Sales site. “I donate all my services to the event, and it has been very successful.
Donors of the semen had the option to either earmark their donation for a specific scholarship or the general AJBA fund. This year’s donors were as follows:
