AJBA American Junior Brahman Association

Howdy! I’m Callie Welty and I am serving as your AJBA President from the Lone Star State of Texas! I am currently attending Texas A&M University and working towards a double degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism and Agricultural Leadership and Development. I have served the AJBA as a previous Queen and Princess and am so grateful for the opportunities that have been provided for me.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

TBJ: 1. Who has helped you get to where you are now in the Brahman Breed?
Callie: – Without a doubt, my parents have helped me to get where I am today with my Brahman cattle operation. I am so grateful for their love, support and dedication to help me find my passion and purpose. In addition to them, countless Brahman breeders across the globe have played an integral role in shaping my life through my time in the American and Texas Junior Brahman Associations. Thank you seems inadequate to those who have worked behind the scenes to help me accomplish my dreams.

TBJ: Do you think your time in the Brahman Breed will impact your future career?
Callie: -Absolutely. Unequivocally. The friendships and relationships that have been cultivated within the Brahman breed are truly invaluable. During this next year of service as the AJBA President, it is my mission to pour into the members, just as those before me have done. I have always believed in leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come. It is my honor to serve the Brahman youth and highlight the exceptional talent and leaders we raise within our association.

I am excited about the future of the Brahman breed and look forward to being an advocate in my career in a global media capacity. I am appreciative of my Brahman family and those who have poured into me and shaped me into the leader I am today.
