It is hard to believe that we are already in March! Dr. Paschal and myself returned from New Orleans after attending NCBA, and it was great to meet so many people wanting to get involved in the Brahman breed, it was a great turnout.
I am excited to announce that the ABBA has just hired a new student worker, Callie Welty. Her name probably sounds familiar as she has been involved in the Brahman breed for years, so please join us in welcoming her to the ABBA team! As I am writing this, the ABBA staff is in full preparation mode for multiple different events within the association. The 2023 ABBA National F1 Sale which is taking place April 1st in Bryan, TX and my personal favorite time of the year, The International Brahman Show in Houston, Texas. We will have the entire ABBA staff at the booth, and we have some great giveaways planned, so make sure you stop by!
This year we are honoring many deserving individuals in multiple ways that you will read about in this edition of The Brahman Journal. Each of these individuals have played a key role in the development of the association and the Brahman breed as a whole, and it is our honor to present them with their respective awards. I will end this column by saying I am extremely excited to see everyone in Houston and welcome all of our guests from all around the world! Good luck to all exhibitors participating in the International Brahman Show this year!

Howdy, from the ABBA offi ce! As you are reading this, the excitement for the biggest Brahman event of the year is around us! The 2023
International Brahman Show and Sale is an event that many of us look forward to every year. This will be my first year to attend this event as a part of the ABBA staff , and I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can. If you have a chance, please stop by our booth, and say hi!
The AJBA Board of Directors will also be attending the International Brahman Show and Sale. You will be seeing them in the ring keeping the show running smoothly and efficiently. This is just one of the many duties each of these directors uphold. I am very proud of this strong team of leaders that serve for the Brahman breed.
Another exciting event that is just around the corner is our 2023 All American National Junior Brahman Show. We are very excited to be heading back to Texarkana, Arkansas for another great event! The Youth Activities Committee, AJBA Directors, and I have been working very hard to make this year’s event a success. Be on the lookout for social media and E-blasts with our entry packets, that should be out shortly after Houston. The entry packets will include everything you need to know if you are planning to attend All American.
