Howdy Everyone! My name is Athlyn Allen and I am the newest addition to The Brahman Journal team. I will be working on graphics, editorial, websites and just about everything else that we cover here at TBJ.
I majored in Agricultural Communications and Journalism with minors in Leadership Development and Tourism Management at Texas A&M University. Through my major I gained valuable skills in writing, graphic design and photography. While at Texas A&M, I was able to gain experience in magazine production as editor of the College of Ag magazine, The Agrileader.
I am from Coleman, Texas, where my family runs a small cattle ranch and raises crops. I found my love of agriculture through my family, and I plan on using my skills of communications to help educate the world about the importance of agriculture.
I look forward to learning more about the Brahman breed and meeting as many Brahman breeders as I can. I hope you enjoy this edition of The Brahman Journal and many more to come.
