As you’re reading this column, we are officially in 2023. I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! The new year is your opportunity to reset, refresh your mind, get clarity on your goals, and get determined. With that being said let’s make 2023 a great year full of prosperity.
I would like to start off by thanking Victoria Lambert for allowing us the opportunity to communicate with our membership through The Brahman Journal.
The beginning of the year is one of the busiest times for the ABBA, as we come back from the Holidays, we hit the ground running with membership renewals, registrations and transfers, and anything we missed during the break. The ABBA currently has a great team working very hard to stay up to date, and prepare for upcoming events. Dr. Joe Paschal who was recently hired as the new Executive Vice President, Caydi Blaha who was just promoted to Director of Communications and Youth Activities, Teresa Dominguez handling DNA, Megan Mullins, registrations/transfers and DNA, and Riki Nardiello our student worker.
As we start off the year, we are preparing for some exciting things. Dr. Paschal and I will be attending the NCBA Annual Membership meeting, February 1st – 3rd in New Orleans, LA. We invite you to come by the ABBA booth for some ABBA literature and merchandise.
This year the ABBA will host the 99th Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday, March 1st and then the ABBA International Female Show, Thursday, March 2nd and International Bull Show on Friday, March 3rd. These events are all held in Houston, Texas at the NRG Center. We hope you make plans to join us for the largest Brahman Show in the United States.
The ABBA will have our usual booth space in the cattle stalling area and the staff will be present to answer any questions you might have. We will also be serving coffee and donuts on both show days, so please come by and say hello! The ABBA F-1 Female and Bull Sale is another exciting thing we are preparing for this year. Th e sale will take place April 1st, 2023 in Bryan, Texas.
I look forward to communicating with our membership through the Brahman Journal, and as always if you have any questions, please contact the ABBA office.
