On July 19 Infinity Cattle Services hosted the Fifth Annual Brahmans at the Camellia Sale in Kiln, Mississippi on the property of The Lance Wedgeworth Family. This event was held at The Camellia Barn, a special event venue, owned by The Wedgeworth Family. This premier sale consisted of 62 lots to include donors, show heifers, donor prospects, bred females, heifer calves with their recipients, pregnant recipients, pick lots, embryo packages, aspirations, and semen from 52 of the breed’s most recognized breeders. In addition to the sale, attendees were able to enjoy the amenities of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a boutique hotel, a welcome reception, and a presale shrimp boil.
The upscale evening and superior offering drew extreme interest with 136 registered buyers in person and via Cattle in Motion. The offering was sold to 37 buyers from Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, and Mexico. Doak Lambert of Decatur, Texas rapidly sold the offering with the following averages:
• Overall Sale: $17,385.24
• 1 Donor: $78,000.00
• 37 Females (1 Pair, 3 Bred, 33 Open): $16,351.35
• 2 Recipients with Heifer Calves: $30,000.00
• 4 Pregnant Recipients: $15,000.00
• 7 Aspirations: $23,071.43
• 7 Embryo Packages: $3,392.86/embryo
• 4 Semen packages (10 straws): $4,060.00/straw
The highest selling lot of the evening was a proven Register of Renown Donor, +Moreno Ms. Lady Rapunsel, consigned by MF Ranch of Dallas, Texas. When the intense bidding stopped at $78,000 Bryant-Cardenas Red Brahman Ranch of Dallas, Texas & Jalisco, Mexico was the winning bidder. Following the sale of +Moreno Ms. Lady Rapunsel two lots influenced by her sold with a daughter sired by +Mr. WCC Maximus Rojo 82/4, on the side of her recipient dam, consigned by MF Ranch was sold to the partnership of Bryant-Cardenas Red Brahman Ranch & T. Clark Miller for $30,000. The final Rapunsel influenced offering was a pregnant recipient carrying her embryo by the 2024 ABBA Red Show Bull of the Year LMC-FCC Polled Foundation 11/1 (PP) consigned by White’s Crossing Cattle Co. of Wiggins, Mississippi that brought $17,000 and was purchased jointly by J&L Cattle Services, GB Ranch, and J. Parker Farms.
The second high selling lot of the evening was a show heifer prospect consigned by Circle T Cattle of Church Point, Louisiana. CT Baby Sista Rhineaux 1/5 brought $50,000 and was purchased by Bar 64 Genetics of Steelville, Missouri.
Of notable interest and validating the extreme demand for the quality offering three other lots topped the $40,000 mark. The third high selling lot at $45,000 was, Moreno Ms. Lady Rock Rumpet 746/4, a show heifer prospect consigned by Moreno Ranches of Riesel, Texas and purchased by Bryant- Cardenas Red Brahman Ranch. Following as the fourth high seller was an aspiration in the National & International Champion and now proven donor Lady H Lisa Manso 476/1 consigned by Heritage Cattle Company of Hungerford, Texas and purchased by Carlos Reyes’ Ganaderia Tres Mujeres of Mexico. 4F Cattle Co. of Linn, Texas & Sandglass Ranch of Hallettsville, Texas consigned the next high selling lot that fetched $40,000 for an aspiration on the popular Miss 4F Polled Elegance 72/9 (PP) that was purchased by Indian Feather Ranch of Knott, Texas.
The highest selling embryo package was a consignment by Ferretti Performance Horses (Leah Thibodeaux) of Lake Charles, Louisiana. This female sexed embryo package resulted from crossing the National & International Champion +Mr. CBR 667/8 with the two-time National Champion CT Ms. Smokin Red Elmeaux. TCC Farms of Adairsville, Georgia purchased this package for $6,000/embryo. The high selling semen lot of the night was one straw of female sexed semen from the proven & popular sire +TJF Mr. Smokin Gun 109/7. This consignment by South Florida Brahmans was purchased by SMK Farms of Cottageville, South Carolina for $16,000.
The Volume Buyer of the sale was Bryant-Cardenas Red Brahman Ranch of Dallas, Texas & Jalisco, Mexico. They were followed closely by Lone Wolf Ranch of Stockton, Missouri and 4D Livestock of Buna, Texas. Chris Shivers the sale manager of the event said, “this sale has become THE Brahman EVENT of the Year due to it providing a superior offering in a great venue with a positive atmosphere. We greatly appreciate the efforts of the consignors, attendees, buyers, bidders, and all that were involved in making this a successful event.” The 2026 Brahmans at the Camellia Sale will be held on July 18 with details being released soon.
