The second largest Brahman show in the United States, the Bluebonnet Kick-Off Classic, will be held August 1-5, 2017 at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Brenham, Texas.
Since this is the first show of the 2017-2018 show season, breeders bring large numbers of cattle to both show and have on display. Show sponsors and volunteers are preparing for a fantastic, fun-filled week of events for all Brahman enthusiasts. They strive for a laid back, family-friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy good times with good friends and great cattle.
In addition to the show, this year Bulls Eye Ranch, in conjunction with the Bluebonnet Brahman Association, will be hosting a hands-on showmanship clinic on August 3. The clinic will be designed with the novice exhibitor in mind and will aim to teach exhibitors tips and suggestions to best present their cattle in front of the judges.
There will be a hamburger lunch sponsored by the Bluebonnet Brahman Association at noon and the clinic will start at 2 p.m., followed by a showmanship class where clinic participants will be judged on how they present their cattle.
Both domestic and international visitors of all ages are welcome. A Spanish translator will assist during the clinic.
Attendees are invited to just watch or bring cattle for a hands-on experience. Cattle will be provided to international guests wanting to take part in the clinic. This is a great opportunity for international breeders to learn showmanship skills from some of the best American Brahman showmen.

The group classes at the Bluebonnet Kick-Off Classic as well as the Open and Junior Bulls shows will be on August 4 with the Open and Junior Female shows taking place on August 5.
